LOW-COST PANADAPTER FOR YAESU FT-2000D!

An (almost) non-invasive Yaesu FT-2000 mod, a 20 - 30 dB preamplifier added, connecting to the 69.450 MHz IF output intended for the optional DMU-2000 unit. Optional, based on the preamp mod above, an additional in-line preamp, appr 10-15 dB, for a total of 30 - 35dB before entering my extremely lossy double balanced mixer. 1. Install and familiarize yourself with Funcube dongle as described in the document 'Funcube Dongle An Introduction'
2. Install coaxial cable in the FT-2000D. Use the connector labeled 'H'. View images
and also instructions on RF Space support IF-2000
3. Install the software PowerSDR-IF from WU2X
4. Connect Funcube dongle between the coaxial cable from the FT-2000D and your computer's USB port.
5. Start FCHid software. See photos of settings.
6. Start VSPE and create a virtual port. See pictures of my settings. Port 4 is the real port and 10 is the virtual port. Use the same port settings that you use in the FT-2000D setup.
7. Start PowerSDR-IF software. See photos of settings.
8. Start logging program and connect to the virtual port.
If you do not want to use logging program simultaneously with PowerSDR-IF software, you dont need the VSPE software. In the pictures, you must change the port 10 to the correct port to your FT-2000D.
