In Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10In the Start menu’s Search section, type Firmware Update to bring up the firmware updater software for your racing wheel.This can also be accessed via Apps > Thrustmaster.3. The Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel is listed in the “Device” section. The firmware version currently found on your device is displayed.The “Firmware” section displays information regarding the firmware version that will be applied to the device.4. To continue the firmware update, the racing wheel must be put into BOOTLOADER mode manually. Click OK and follow the onscreen instructions.- Disconnect the USB connector from the computer.- Simultaneously press and hold the YELLOW + XBOX GUIDE buttons (located on the base of your racing wheel) and reconnect (while keeping the YELLOW + XBOX GUIDE buttons pressed down) the USB connector to the computer.

• Once the USB connector is reconnected, release the YELLOW + XBOX GUIDE buttons.

Once the racing wheel has been reconnected, you will note that a driver has been installed:This driver is required for the update.After the installation, the Device section should now indicate the racing wheel’s initialization status:When you are ready to continue, click OK.IMPORTANT: DO NOT DISCONNECT your racing wheel from the computer’s USB port and DO NOT UNPLUG the racing wheel’s power supply during the firmware update process!The firmware update process then takes place (the progress is shown onscreen).During the firmware update process, the MODE LED on the racing wheel is OFF: this is perfectly normal.The updater program will let you know whether the process has successfully completed.If the firmware update has been successful, the racing wheel will be calibrated automatically, and the MODE LED will return to its original state:5. Click OK to return to the updater program’s main window, and confirm that the firmware version listed under Device is 54.Click to exit the program.If the firmware update process fails or displays an error message,please contact Thrustmaster’s technical support team,who will guide you through the necessary steps to be taken.Congratulations: you are now ready to play!6. Once the firmware update is complete, make sure that the racing wheel functions properly in the Control Panel.
